Entrepreneur Jesse Itzler chronicles his month of living and extreme fitness training with a Navy SEAL in the New York Times and #1 LA Times bestseller LIVING WITH A SEAL, now with two bonus chapters.
Entrepreneur Jesse Itzler will try almost anything. His life is about being bold and risky. So when Jesse felt himself drifting on autopilot, he hired a rather unconventional trainer to live with him for a month-an accomplished Navy SEAL widely considered to be "the toughest man on the planet"!
LIVING WITH A SEAL is like a buddy movie if it starred the Fresh Prince of Bel- Air...and Rambo. Jesse is about as easy-going as you can get. SEAL is...not. Jesse and SEAL's escapades soon produce a great friendship, and Jesse gains much more than muscle. At turns hilarious and inspiring, LIVING WITH A SEAL ultimately shows you the benefits of stepping out of your comfort zone.

This book has changed my life for the better. I thank the author for using Joe Rogans podcast to tell some of his story so I could actually read it. Couldn’t put it down so I finished it in two days.
  • Life changer

I don’t read books and someone told me I had to read it. I put it off and one day he got online and forced to buy it. I finished it in 3 days. I laughed out loud many times and even shed a tear... no book has ever done this for me before. I know I need to push myself after reading this. A MUST read!!!

If in fact after reading this book or any of the days with in this book you're not motivated to go out and do better then I don't know what to tell you I admire those guys so much because they put themselves to the test every day to be better to live each day as if it were their last I admired that. I just hope that I can achieve have that motivation as I once had when I was a younger man.

  • Funny & inspirational, heartfelt, non-stop page turner.

A funny & inspirational heartfelt story that will be a non-stop page turner. You'll be grumpy that you were interrupted during your reading. Yeah, it's that good! :D Funny: In the way the story is described. Inspirational: Makes me want to stop being a couch potato of a student. (Have patience, keep reading, there's a point to this.) -Was a couch potato w. flub. (20 lbs. to lose) -Got a job. -Became a gym rat and loved every minute of it. (Part self-motivated/part personal trainer.) -Seriously considered joining the military; I was in pretty good shape. -Joining didn't work out. -Lost job (unrelated to military). -Became a couch potato again. -Got a job (finaalllly!) -Continued couch potato mode. Long commute. (Running after a bus/train was my exercise of the day.) -Resigned from job. -Now a Master's degree student back with my 20 lbs. of flub, lots of homework and no time to exercise. (Or so I think.) Now with an important event to go to in a few months (Panic!), I want to get into shape. Thanks to this book I am seriously contemplating taking up "jogging" with a recently retired Marine Corps Drill Sergeant that I know to prepare for the event. Half of me thinks that I'm out of my mind, the other half of me thinks this'll be great (especially at the end). Or it could be a new beginning for me just like it was for the author. The author gained more than just a better bod and a faster race time. He had a mind shift. A perspective and value change that extended throughout his whole life in ALL categories. And isn't that we're all looking for? To break out of the monotony and improve ourselves? Yet to do it in an interesting way? This book has some life lessons you can learn from, some sweet and lots of crazy moments (or what seems crazy at the time.). It shows both perspectives and if you can see it from the military perspective, you'll catch on faster. Buy it. It'll be the best $10 you ever spent. And if you're lucky, the best life changing motivation you'll have.
