The bleakest winter on record and a gruesome discovery bring DCI David Morton to the Hackney Marshes in search of a clue, any clue, as to the identity of a dead child found near the Old River Lea.

Meanwhile, closer to home, Morton's long suffering wife Sarah comes to the conclusion that her man has been doing more than work during his late nights at the office.  As he closes in on the mystery of the boy's identity his life begins to crumble and a terrible wrong is done to someone he loves.

With all of London watching, Morton's impeccable ethics will be tested to their limit as he is forced to choose between doing what is right and what is legal.

Cleaver Square is a stand-alone Police Procedural featuring DCI David Morton.

I enjoyed reading this book. I'm a big fan of British TV and would compare this novel to The Wire. Entertaining and fast-paced. A good crime novel.
  • Cleaver isn’t very clever

This could easily have been a script for a tv episode but is disappointing as a crime novel. The characters lack fullness and the plot is very routine.
  • Terrific story!

I have become a serious fan of the authors. They weave an intriguing and twisted plot and write the story well. In these times it's rare to find an author who can truly wordsmith and spell! I'm off to find the next book!

New authors to me. Astounding! The good guys--the British police, kept doggedly working for finding answers of a mystery of a dead child. Twists and turns of that kept me reading for long periods of time. Also, woven into the story, Identity Theft, was a major devastating issue. The authors addressed the stress and strains of that very well. As another reviewer stated--I felt like I was right there all through the story. End of book was great too. The iBook was free. Will be willing to buy further books by Daniel Campbell and Sean Campbell. 🐰🐰🐰
  • Excellent Read!

I felt that I was there, with the characters. Felt sadness, fear, exhilaration and happiness...with and for the characters, which were perfectly amazing. I will ABSOLUTELY read all that these authors publish! Great work... Kat V

Well written - the story line is unusual but well paced. I especially enjoyed the author’s writing style and the way he constructed the action.
