Sometimes love demands a second chance, but it will never be bought, no matter the amount.

Michael Carrington promised himself after losing his wife that he was done with love. No more investing in anything he wasn’t capable of walking away. Sex and high-dollar business deals would become the center of his world. Throw in a touch of danger, and he has all he needs outside of a new assistant.

Rainey Foster has finally graduated college, and as a struggling single mom, she just needs someone to give her a chance. She’s willing to go all in with the right employer, as long as the buck stops there. He can have her time, her commitment and her attention, but no one will ever have her heart again. She thinks she has things figured out until she comes face to face with the illustrious Michael Carrington.

Powerful. Confident. Sexy as Hell.

Lust might ignite the flame between them, but love will have its way.

Amazing storyline with wonderful characters, you will be taken on an emotional roller coaster. I went through all the emotions with Rainey and Michael and could not put this book down. I loved Rainey being feisty, strong but also vulnerable when it came to her feelings for Michael. Ali Parker is a phenomenal writer that is one of my favorite authors. I have not read a book by her that i haven’t devoured in one sitting. Hot steaming up the windows sex, outrageour chemistry, the mafia and so much more. I definitely recommend you read this book or you will miss out on an outstanding book. It is a three book series. I voluntarily received this book to review for my honest opinion.

Another fantastic read by Ali Parker! She has a way of writing stories that hook you and doesn’t let you go until you’ve finished! I loved the characters of Rainey and Michael. They were lovable and you felt for them for what they went through and struggled with. Definitely a one-click!! I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
