#1 NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLER

Do you ever suspect that everyone else has life figured out and you don’t have a clue? If so, Rachel Hollis has something to tell you: that’s a lie.

As the founder of the lifestyle website TheChicSite.com and CEO of her own media company, Rachel Hollis developed an immense online community by sharing tips for better living while fearlessly revealing the messiness of her own life. Now, in this challenging and inspiring new book, Rachel exposes the twenty lies and misconceptions that too often hold us back from living joyfully and productively, lies we’ve told ourselves so often we don’t even hear them anymore.

With painful honesty and fearless humor, Rachel unpacks and examines the falsehoods that once left her feeling overwhelmed and unworthy, and reveals the specific practical strategies that helped her move past them. In the process, she encourages, entertains, and even kicks a little butt, all to convince you to do whatever it takes to get real and become the joyous, confident woman you were meant to be.

With unflinching faith and rock-hard tenacity, Girl, Wash Your Face shows you how to live with passion and hustle--and how to give yourself grace without giving up.

I was a laughing, sobbing mess as I read this book today. I barely put it down to eat and take bathroom breaks. I had several realizations in my own life about the lies I’ve told myself for as long as I can remember. Thank you for having the courage to share your experiences with us. It’s important to know that we are not alone.

This book summed up my life! Extremely relatable! So exciting knowing that there is someone else who seems like they wrote a book specifically for you. Very uplifting and encouraging.

I don’t think I could relate to the author very much. I had very little in common, but I finished the book anyway. Her voice is very engaging and there were good points. If you are a mother or struggle with self esteem or identity issues, this might be a better fit for you. Perhaps had I read it a long time ago, I could have related. If you just need a few reminders about how to not be so hard on yourself, this would do that. Also, I admit knowing nothing about the author so I wasn’t prepared for the religious (Christian) rhetoric. I’m also not a mother so I skipped entire Chapters. There is a lot about motherhood in here and she really loves her kids which was very nice. Nothing new, nothing particularly original or very deep, but all in all an honest reflection of the working mother.

I am literally dumber for having read this book. Completely unrelatable. “I stood up to the one-and-only boy I ever dated when he treated me like garbage, and now he and I are happily married with four kids!” Barf.
